For some people their only requirement is to have a powerful processor, this netbook is one of the few in the market comes with a N280 processor. It meets all kinds of use for school, for leisure or for business. Not to mention the size, small enough to fit into a purse or a bag. With a full size of the keyboard, you won’t feel inconvenient when using it. 3 USB ports and a bridge media adapter is enough for uploading music, pictures and information.

The design of Toshiba Mini NB205 is very unique, its surface used a brilliant high-gloss Fusion finish, resistant to fingerprints and stains. Some people questioned about the practical purpose of using a netbook, with such a small laptop how could you make your work comfortably?

Yes, with 4.6 pounds weight and slightly over 10 inches screen it is a very tiny mini thing. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t type like the normal laptop does. It’s keyboard is designed as 92% as the normal laptop keyboard, unless you have extraordinary huge figures, this should be no problem for you.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA runs on Intel Atom N280 processor which is higher than  a lot other models. With wifi capability of 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1, it has also a built in web cam of 1.3 MP.

I have to mention again their extremely long battery life, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA manufacturer claim that this netbook can run 10.5 hours with a single charge. How amazing is that? It is way better than some laptop with only 2-3 hour battery life. A lot of the time some extra battery can always save us in many emergency occasions.

First you have to know whether there is an Energy Star compliant, if possible be compliant with the RoHS directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive). This related to a going Greenpeace Policy rate with a manufacture. Then, check for the EPEAT stands for electronic products environmental assessment tool.

So far the only going green models on the market are Toshiba Mini and the Samsung NC10. Now let’s take a look at Toshiba Mini netbook, it is has Energy Star Compliant (5.0) which is compatible with the RoHS standards also a EPEAT certifice in Gold. Many other models don’t have any of them. This makes Toshiba outstanding.

Make sure that the power and technical specifications are just right for your needs. Portability is a good factor to consider as well, because though they are small, netbooks will come in different sizes. You want something that is not too big, but also has a display that suits your eyesight as well. The battery power should also be taken into consideration, as netbooks are normally meant to be carried around a lot.

Just like with a normal computer, netbooks come with the standard operating systems like windows, Mac, and other systems too. Most netbooks come with the Windows operating system, and so have a wide variety of software with them. If you are looking for a Mac, you will be able to find one too, and even other systems though, but you might not be that happy with them since they don’t have as large variety of software as Windows.
